The work our Integrated Offender Management (IOM) officers do for offenders is gradual, as changing behaviours and lifestyles is only successful if we are patient.

We celebrate each step taken towards independence, because for many of our clients, these steps are brand new to them. One of IOM’s clients has been a part of our program since November 2020. Recently, she was able to obtain identification, open a bank account, and complete her taxes for the first time in her life. She has also maintained stable housing for a few months already. As someone who has battled with severe addiction, she has made considerable improvements to leave her previous criminal lifestyle behind.
